Is a lived experience of ‘oneness,’ being completely united with a greater whole—whether that be the universe, God, or the source of all being, which are terms often used by those who have had the experience. Paths that can lead to this awakening include spending time in nature, immersing ourselves in art, music, or dance, and practicing mindfulness.
Is, for most, a development from the ego-centric perspec–tive “It’s all about me!” to the ethno-centric “It’s all about my family, or group or nation!”. Further perspectives are: “It’s about everyone and everything in the world – or even universe!”. The ability to see and feel from increasingly inclusive perspectives promotes an ever greater sense of connection and feeling a part of it all.
Is doing the hard work of recognising, accepting, then integrating into ourselves all the aspects – desires, traits, feelings – we don’t want to look at, don’t want anyone else to see or know about, can’t accept and feel we have to deny or repress. Shadow work can be scary, but is a necessary path on any journey towards truly feeling at one with oneself and thus truly whole.
Is the path of consciously doing things to develop skill (intelligence) in areas not yet fully developed or perhaps not even explored at all. If we’re good with words, we could explore numbers, If we’re musically gifted, we could explore visual art or engage in some form of sport or dance. Also developing our emotional or spiritual intelligences could be paths to reaching our full human potential.
Means fully living your unique life and sharing the gifts you have to offer the world. In doing so, you fulfill a distinct role in the greater tapestry of life. When you awaken, grow, open, and show up, you embody a purpose-driven life filled with love, energy, and aliveness. By becoming whole and serving the whole, you realize the full potential of what it means to be human.
